How OursYours works with your practice.
A detailed guide to our verification standards, fee model, and the principles that govern the relationship between OursYours, the professionals on the platform, and the owners they serve.
What the platform does for your practice
OursYours is infrastructure — not a lead generator, not a marketplace bidding pit, and not a lender. The platform's job is to bring you well-formed, scoped engagements and the workflow tools to deliver them efficiently.
A verified, ownership-ready network
Reach owners and investors who are already engaged with structured ownership decisions — not cold leads scraped from public sources. Every owner on the platform has an active record, a property scope, and a defined intent.
Coordinated workflows, end-to-end
Document management, milestone tracking, and audit-ready records reduce the administrative overhead that typically surrounds property work. Engagements are scoped, instructed, and tracked through a single thread.
Property-scoped communication
Every instruction, message, and document is tied to a specific property and ownership record. No fragmented email chains. No lost context when matters move between team members.
Milestone tracking built in
You always know what's due, what's outstanding, and who needs to act. Cooling-off periods, FROR windows, settlement dates, compliance deadlines and rent reviews are surfaced automatically.
Dual pathway exposure
The Ours pathway generates unit trust establishment, trustee appointments, and ongoing compliance work. The Yours pathway generates structuring advice, settlement, and ongoing management. One verification, two demand streams.
Verification.
Independently verified. Always.
Owners need to know that the professionals surfaced on the platform are who they say they are, licensed where they need to be, and insured to act. Verification is not a marketing badge — it is a precondition for engaging with owners on OursYours.
What we verify
- Identity and entity verification (ABN / ACN, principal contacts)
- Professional registration / licence verification with the relevant regulator
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance confirmation
- Membership of relevant professional bodies, where applicable (Law Society, CA ANZ, CPA Australia, REIA / state REI, MFAA / FBAA, Master Builders, HIA, etc.)
- Cross-check against ASIC banned and disqualified persons register
- Confirmation of states / territories of operation
- Ongoing monitoring — verification is reviewed annually and on any material change
Verification typically takes 3–7 business days from receipt of a complete application. You will receive a status update at each stage. Where additional documentation is required, we will tell you exactly what is needed and why.
Professional Fee Model.
Four steps. No surprises.
The relationship between OursYours and your practice is deliberately simple. The platform earns from professionals — not from owners — and only when professionals are receiving real, scoped demand.
You are independently verified
Before any professional can engage with owners on the platform, OursYours verifies credentials, licences, and professional registrations. Where applicable, we cross-check against state regulators (NSW Fair Trading, state legal admission boards, CA ANZ / CPA Australia, Tax Practitioners Board, ASIC, and trade licence registries). Public liability and professional indemnity insurance are confirmed. Verification status is visible to owners and forms part of your public profile.
Owners choose to engage you
The platform surfaces verified professionals to owners based on property scope, jurisdiction, and service category. Owners select and engage you directly — there is no auction, no bidding war, and no platform-driven matching that overrides owner choice. You set your own scope, terms, and fees. OursYours does not mark up your fees, take a percentage of what you charge, or insert itself into the client relationship.
Owners pay you standard fees directly
Your fees are paid by the owner, directly to you, at your standard rates — the same as if the client came to you through any other channel. No platform loading. No discount required to participate. No revenue share on your engagement income. The commercial relationship sits entirely between you and the owner.
You pay OursYours a small platform fee
Professionals pay OursYours a platform fee for access to coordinated owner demand and the workflow infrastructure that supports it. This fee is separate from your client billing and is never passed to owners. It is the only payment that flows from your practice to the platform — and it funds the infrastructure that keeps the platform free for owners and occupiers.
Standard fees. Always. No markup on what owners pay you.
Platform fees by category.
Priced by engagement, not by owner.
Platform fees vary by professional category and engagement volume. OursYours does not publish a fixed rate card — fees are agreed directly with each professional category during onboarding so the model fits the realities of that practice area.
Legal & Conveyancing
Solicitors, conveyancers, settlement agents.
Platform fees are structured around engagement volume — typically a tiered model that reduces on a per-engagement basis as monthly throughput increases. Specific rates are confirmed during verification.
Accounting & Tax
Tax agents, accountants, SMSF auditors.
Platform fees reflect engagement category (one-off advice vs. ongoing compliance) and are agreed during onboarding. Recurring compliance work attracts lower per-engagement rates than one-off matters.
Property Management
Residential and commercial property managers.
Platform fees are based on properties under management routed through the platform, not on rent collected. Owners always pay your standard management fee directly.
Brokers, Agents & Developers
Mortgage brokers, sales agents, developer entities.
Fees are agreed by category and reflect the nature of the engagement (origination, settlement, project sales). OursYours does not take a share of commission paid by the owner.
Trades & Inspections
Contractors, building inspectors, pest inspectors.
Trades and inspectors operate under the contractor marketplace model with a flat 5% platform service fee on jobs booked through the platform. Standing assignments and direct owner relationships are exempt.
Specific rates are provided in writing during the verification process and form part of the professional agreement. There are no hidden fees, no minimum spend, and no obligation to maintain a fixed engagement volume.
The principles that don't change
These are the commitments that govern how the platform operates with the professional network. They are structural, not promotional.
- OursYours does not take commission on what owners pay you.
- OursYours does not mark up your fees, scope, or quotes.
- OursYours does not insert itself into the client relationship.
- Platform fees are paid by the professional, not the owner.
- Verification is independent, evidence-based, and renewed annually.
- Your reputation on the platform is built from real engagements, not paid placement.
